Kaimu Farmers Market

Our Market We are open Saturdays from 8 am to noon. Our market is on the southeast side of the Island of Hawai'i - also called the Big Island because our island has more square miles than all the other seven major Hawaiian islands combined. We are about 40 miles south of Hilo, the 2d biggest town in Hawai'i. Currently, our market houses over 60 vendors with over 1,400 visitors every Saturday.

Our Community We are located in the Puna district with most of our vendors coming from this region. The Puna district is very agricultural and our market reflects the diverseness of the district as well as the eclecticism of the area.

EBT/SNAP Most of our eligible vendors accept EBT/SNAP. Our market uses a "market cash" concept where individuals exchange money from their card into market scrip, which can be used at participating vendors anytime the market is open. The vendors pay a small fee for this service.
