Aquatic Dance Intro Class & Jam (Warm Water)

Come dance in warm water under the crescent moon! James Anthony (Oakland aquatic practitioner and kanaka Hawaiian teacher) facilitates a 3‑hour beginner aquatic dance class leading into a gentle jam.

What you’ll explore

• ●Mechanics of nose clips and buoyancy
• ●Moving from the core
• ●How agreement (choice/consent) and connection (internal/external) show up somatically and are navigated with words, gesture, and touch
• ●Solo practice, fun dyad/small group games, base/dancer play, and a dance jam emphasizing slow flow, inquiry, and attunement

This evening is playfully “sponsored” by the 4‑day‑old crescent moon (mahina kū‑lua) peeking through the ʻōhiʻa lehua as we dance under the stars.
