Waiki‘i Polo Club Announces 2026 Season!

Every Sunday until Dec 13, 2026. WAIKI‘I, HAWAI‘I ISLAND — September 2026 — Waiki‘i Polo Club is pleased to announce its 2026 polo season, welcoming players, families, longtime supporters, and visitors back to the field for another season of Sunday polo in the heart of Hawai‘i Island’s ranch country. The season begins with the Grand Opening on October 4, kicking off a full calendar of matches and special events continuing through December 13. Set against the slopes of Mauna Kea, Waiki‘i Polo Club offers a distinctly Hawai‘i Island experience, bringing together competitive polo, horsemanship, community, and the island’s longstanding paniolo tradition. Sundays at the club are designed to be as much about gathering with friends and family as they are about the action on the field. Gates open at 11:00 a.m., with the first match beginning at 12:00 noon and the featured main game at approximately 1:00 p.m. 2026 Waiki‘i Polo Season October 4 — Grand Opening October 11 — Ravic Huso Memorial October 18 — Kona Paradise Series October 25 — Contractor’s Cup / HPA Alumni Day November 1 — Día de los Muertos November 8 — Veterans Day / Cowboy Polo November 15 — Battle of the Boats November 22 — Hook ‘Em Up Cup November 29 — USPA Wahine Challenge December 6 — Mauna Kea Hotels USPA Masters Cup December 13 — Equiscope USPA Sportsmanship Cup Throughout the season, Waiki‘i Polo Club will feature a mix of traditional matches, cowboy polo, memorial events, themed Sundays, and United States Polo Association tournament play. Each Sunday will also highlight local businesses and organizations whose sponsorship helps make the season possible. The USPA Wahine Challenge on November 29 sponsored by 3Js Plumbing will celebrate women in polo, while the USPA Masters Cup on December 6, sponsored by Mauna Kea Hotels, and the USPA Sportsmanship Cup on December 13, sponsored by Equiscope, will bring the season to a close with two weekends of tournament polo. Waiki‘i Polo Club has long been a gathering place for Hawai‘i Island’s horse community. The club remains committed to preserving that tradition while creating a welcoming place for a new generation of spectators and players to experience the sport.
